Join us on April 13-14th, 2023 as we host our 3nd annual MSPA Conference. Come learn what medical students are doing for research projects, take part in workshops to learn about getting into medical school or applying to residency, get some leadership development and learn more on how to do advocacy work while being in medical school. This event will be held virtually to maintain minimal cost to pre-medical and medical students. We are proud to continue to host this even geared toward exclusively supporting LGBTQIA+ pre-medical and medical students.

MSPA is a 100% student-run organization composed of dedicated volunteers who share their time to organize this event and others like it. Recognizing the financial barriers in Medical Education, conference tickets are available to students on a sliding scale. If you require financial assistance, please contact us at conference@medpride.org. We will do our best to ensure that all students have access to our conference.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INFORMATION

When is the submission deadline?
March 4, 2024, 11:59pm ET

Where do i submit my abstract?
Please use the link at the top of the page. You abstract will be limited to 300 words.

Do I need to register for the conference if submitting an abstract?
Yes! Please Register for the Conference at our conference page via the link above.

When will I be notified of acceptance?
We plan to accept the majority of abstracts. Confirmation for abstracts submitted by the deadline should arrive by March 18th, 2024.

Can I submit more than one abstract?
Please limit your submissions to one first author abstract per person. It is ok for others submit additional abstracts with you listed as an additional author.

What kind of research be accepted?
Research related to LGBTQIA+ health, healthcare access, or medical education, or health advocacy will be accepted. We welcome projects small and large! If you’re not sure whether your project fits, send us an email with some details at conference@medpride.org.

Exhibitor & Sponsor INFORMATION

Medical School Admissions and Residency Programs are invited to be present for an Exhibition Fair on Sunday, April 14th, 2024 during which they will have time and virtual space to connect with our members and conference attendees. This portion of the event will likely take place in the late afternoon (ET). The Exhibition Fair will take place in the format of individual virtual drop in spaces for each exhibitor. Additionally, each exhibitor will have 3-5 minutes to introduce themselves during a live “Meet the Exhibitors” Session.
