Assistant Director of Partnerships & Communications
In this role, you will assist the External Affairs team with communications and partnerships housed within the External Affairs division of MSPA. Responsibilities include managing the Funded Away Rotations for Minority medical Students (FARMS) Database by responding to inquiries, vetting/updating submissions, and researching new funding opportunities; acting as the MSPA liaison for the NBME Student Round Table, which serves as a student advisory board to NBME leadership. In addition, with the External Affairs director and Marketing Team, identifies other media opportunities and responds to media inquires to maximize MSPA’s external exposure. 3-5 hours a week.

Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians (BNGAP) Liaison
In this role, you will represent MSPA in MSPA’s ongoing partnership with Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians (BNGAP). This will involve participating in web-based training as required by BNGAP and monthly calls with BNGAP leadership, developing one event on academic medicine career development for the benefit of MSPA members, providing MSPA members with information on upcoming BNGAP podcasts, webinars, and events at the local, regional, and national levels, and planning and developing one project through the fellowship over the course of the academic year, at the discretion of the External Affairs and BNGAP leadership. 2-4 hours a week.

Social Media Coordinator
MSPA Social Media Coordinators (Twitter or Metaverse Focus) are responsible for monitoring and generating content for our social media pages based on ongoing activity and requests from the MSPA National Leadership Team, Chapters, and partners organizations. The ideal candidates will have knowledge of and be able to regularly check the medical student corners of social media. They will also be comfortable using their voice to speak for MSPA, be conscious of accessible media practices, and be familiar with or willing to learn Canva for graphic design. 5-8 hours/week

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandizing ideas, marketing to previous and potential donors, and managing our yearly fundraising campaign OUT Together!. Additionally, you will support other Financial Affairs projects as needed. 2-5 hours a week.

Assistant Director of Grant Acquisition
The AD for Grant Acquisition works with the Financial Affairs team to identify grants that fit MSPA's mission and goals. In this role you will have the opportunity gain skills in grant writing and establish and maintain contacts at grant making bodies. The ideal candidate enjoys writing and communicates well with others.

Assistant Director of Regional Development
This position oversees Regional Directors and assists in planning and executing virtual events each semester. Additionally, this person collaborates with Regional Directors and the Director of Campus Affiliates to maintain up-to-date chapter lists, rosters, and contact information to keep our chapters engaged and informed. 3-5 hours per week.

Regional Leadership is a low time-commitment position where you act as a link between MSPA chapter members and MSPA National and create events among MSPA chapters in your region to foster collaboration and connections. 1-3 hours per week.

Campus Recruitment Resources Coordinator
This position assists the director in maintaining and creating new resources and events for MSPA members. Includes keeping Resources Drive up to date, organizing events like Chapter of the Year, Residency Webinar Series. and Match Panel, and assisting in organization wide campaigns and conferences. 2-3 hours per week.

Research & Analytics

Assistant Director of Research & Analytics
Assistant Directors are responsible for collaborating on one of MSPA's ongoing academic research projects, as well as supporting an R&A initiative for the wider MSPA team (e.g., write a Blog post on R&A-related themes for the MSPA website, support the R&A Journal Club, and or participate as the R&A Team's DEIJ Taskforce representative). As Members of the MSPA National Leadership Team, ADs must attend our monthly national leadership team zoom meeting and monthly R&A team zoom meetings. 3-5 hrs/wk
The R&A Team provides opportunities to network and collaborate with queer and trans medical student researchers and faculty across the country.
URiM (Black, Indigenous and Latinx) medical students are encouraged to apply.

Assistant Director of Conference Programming
This person is responsible for coordinating conference planning meetings and tasks. Beyond coordination, the assistant director is expected to help in speaker recruitment, sponsor recruitment, marketing, and conference platform management. 5 hours a week, especially fall - spring.
