    Oak is a third year medical student at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. Oak is queer, transgender, uses they/them pronouns, is chronically ill and is neuro-divergent. Oak uses their inherent privilege to advocate for marginalized communities in the scope of medicine. They seek to amend current standards in healthcare to increase inclusivity. Oak is a dog parent, to Prudence the dog, and enjoys going on desert hikes with her. In their spare time Oak practices martial arts, paints, goes on walks and plays board games.

  • ELISA PARK | SHE/THEY

    CO-DIRECTOR OF DEI-J

    Hackensack School of Medicine

    Elisa is a student at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies. Their career interests include transgender inclusive care in OBGYN, Endocrine, and Surgery specialties. In her free time, she enjoys dancing (voguing!), yoga, and checking out local coffee shops and small businesses.

    Ana is an OMSII at Pacific Northwest University where she serves in MSPA and Student Government. She was born in Mexico and lived in the beautiful state of Colorado for the majority of her life. As a queer Latinx, first-generation student, Ana is passionate about fighting for equality in healthcare and reaching underserved communities. To stay sane in-between schoolwork, she enjoys cooking with friends, 3am nights with puzzles, and Salsa dancing!

  • Sumeet Aujla | SHE/THEY

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF OSTEOPATHIC INTERSECTIONAL MEDICAL EDUCATION

    Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences

    Sumeet is a queer Sikh South Asian medical student at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. Prior to medical school, she obtained her BA in Sociology at Washington State University. Sumeet aspires to apply a sociological lens to medical care in her hopeful future career as a family medicine physician with a focus in LGBTQIA+ care, behavioral health, and/or substance use disorders. In the meantime, they are committed to increasing DEI-J efforts in medical education as well as healthcare as a whole. In their free time, they can be found hanging out with their cat Venus, spending time with their loved ones, reading non-fiction, writing, and exploring the history of Punjabi music.
