WHO WE ARE
RESEARCH AND ANALYTICS (R&A) serves to support the pursuit of rigorous, high-impact scientific and educational activities regarding LGBTQ+ health and medical workforce equity among physicians in training in the United States. We strive to shift medical education towards LGBTQ+ health equity and the inclusion of LGBTQ+ identities and experiences by providing a data-driven advocacy platform for LGBTQ+ medical students.
WHAT WE DO
Our specific objectives include...
Facilitating inter-institutional collaboration and peer feedback on LGBTQ+-focused research projects led by medical students across the United States
Leveraging MSPA’s chapter network to study the needs and interests of LGBTQ+ identifying (and ally) medical students on a national level
Collecting, maintaining, and distributing data to MSPA chapters seeking to use it in promoting an inclusive learning environment at their local institutions
Providing publication, leadership, and mentoring opportunities to students serving on MSPA’s R&A national leadership
