The University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine is located in Burlington, VT and is known for providing excellent quality medical education as well as producing compassionate physicians who excel in both primary care and other passions such as research and education. The incoming class has 124 students which makes for a tight-knit and collaborative student body. Our 18 month preclinical curriculum allows students to learn the foundations of medicine through case-based learning and explore other scholarly activities such as advocacy, public health outreach, and volunteer opportunities. During clerkships, students have the opportunity to experience clinical medicine at the UVM Medical Center including its affiliates within the rural-suburban UVM Health Network and/or the Nuvance Health network located in western Connecticut which is also the site of our global health program.
